Each student is unique and deserves the opportunity to tell their story on their own terms. To provide students with greater flexibility, the application process to UChicago became test-optional in 2018. Since this change, thousands of students have chosen to apply to UChicago without standardized testing, instead choosing to highlight their successes in other inspiring and distinctive ways.
