| Special Recognition |
Congratulations are due to several athletes who have received special recognition. Devon Bond and Dinaker Mallaya have been selected as the Seventh Congressional District Scholar-Athletes for this academic year. This program recognizes one male and one female student who best exemplify the selfless dedication to academia and sports. In girls’ lacrosse, Amy Donovan and Lindsey Smith have been named the Longstreth Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week award by phillylacrosse.com.
Members of our winter sports’ teams have been named as All-League Choices. Lizzy Carney and Keli Anderson were selected for girls’ basketball and Miles Holmes for boys’ basketball. Several athletes on our swim teams were also recognized: Hillary Yarosh, Shane Austin, Sean McCarthy, Derrick Hayes and Nick Halkowski. Our wrestling coaches decided not to do All-League selections this year. Congratulations to all of our athletic teams and their coaches.
