Application Procedure at UHS
Download or acquire applications from the schools
which interest you.
Determine what is needed for you to complete your
part of the application. Be aware of each school's application
deadline and plan appropriately. It would be helpful
to use the Application
Checklist.
- If a recommendation is required from a teacher or
counselor complete either the Teacher
Recommendation Form or the Counselor
Recommendation Form and submit it to the appropriate
person.
- Complete the application.
- Make an appointment with your counselor to submit
each COMPLETED college application at least ten
school days prior to the application deadline.
Be aware that school's deadlines vary and may depend
on the postmark.
- Bring COMPLETED and signed application to the Counseling
Center on the day of your appointment. A completed application
has all questions answered, the application fee, and
(in some cases) the application essays and recommendations,
and an envelope with proper postage. If you have completed
your application online you are still responsible for
a Release
of Records form along with proper mailing materials
and supplemental forms.
- Double check to see that your activity sheet has been
updated and your transcript is in order.
