Sstudents learn HTML, which is used to design and create a personal web page project. The projects are posted on the Unionville High School web page (below).The second marking period of this semester course is dedicated to using Adobe InDesign, a desktop publishing software package

Multimedia Productions

The basics of creating and editing digital movies using the iLife software package (iMovie, iTunes, iPhoto, Garageband, and iDVD) are introduced. Students use the Green Screen and Final Cut Express HD with iMovie to create movies and a two-minute commercial. Students learn how to use Garageband to create and export a song of their own which can be used in the projects created in the course. Movies and commercials are burned on DVD’s.

Longwood Gardens 360

Students take a series of digital photos while attending a field trip to Longwood Gardens and then use software to create a 360 degree panoramic view for the web page project.

All advanced Microsoft Office PowerPoint techniques will be presented which will enable students to create powerful PowerPoint presentations that students will be able to use in their future years at Unionville High School as well as college and the work force. Adobe Photoshop basics will be introduced to students and stu- dents will be able to create a t-shirt design which they will iron on a t-shirt in class. Advanced features of Mi- crosoft Word will be presented and students will create their own business card.

Web Development and Design
In the first marking period of this semester course, students will learn HTML, HyperText Markup Lan- guage, which will be used to design and create a personal web page project. The projects will be posted on the Unionville High School web page. In addition, students will take a series of digital photos while attending a field trip to Longwood Gardens and then use software to create a 360 degree panoramic view for the web page project. The second marking period of this semester course is dedicated to using Adobe InDesign, a desktop publishing software package, which will enable students to create graphic designs, brochures, and flyers. Stu- dents will also use Alice Software to create animated graphics.
